Health & Safety

TinyFest is implementing all standard CDC and Iowa guidelines and recommendations to ensure everyone’s health.

Fortunately, the festival grounds cover 16 acres, so there is plenty of room to spread out!

TinyFest will:

  • Post signage and rules for everyone’s safety.
  • Limit the number of people inside each house at one time.
  • Frequently sanitize high-touch areas.
  • Clean/disinfect restrooms regularly.
  • Provide hand santizer stations.
  • Screen employees daily prior to opening.
  • Provide socially distanced seating.
  • Provide staff to remind guests of the need to socially distance.
  • Install personal barriers at food stands.
  • Limit the number of attendees so we can social distance effectively.

Help us create a fun & safe event:

Health Notes: If you feel sick or have been exposed to anyone testing positive for Covid-19, please stay home! We know you don’t want to miss the fun, but there is always next year. If you are a high-risk individual, don’t risk your health. We would rather you remain healthy and come back another time.

Social Distancing: Accompany and closely supervise children to help ensure proper distancing. If you like, bring a picnic blanket or lawn chair to sit off to the side at presentations to help spread out.

Sanitizer: You are welcome to bring your own hand sanitizer. We will provide it in multiple locations around the park should you forget or need more.

Masks: Masks are strongly recommended but not required as this is an outdoor event. Some shops and tiny house owners may require masks. More info below.

House tours: Tiny houses are small spaces and the number of people inside a house at any given time will be limited. Some homes owners may require patrons to wear masks while in their home.

Merchants: Shops are independent businesses and will decide on their own rules based on CDC and Iowa guidelines and their personal concerns. Our merchants are concerned about your safety too and will be respectful of your wishes while welcoming you to their shop. Most are implementing safety guidelines, such as limiting the number of people in a shop, creating a separate entrance and exit when possible, and sanitizing items touched but not purchased. Some may require patrons to wear masks while in their shop.

In advance, thank you for your cooperation and respect. Together we can have responsible and socially distanced fun.
